GLASSED LANDSCAPES

What youll need
untinted glass container, with a cap not a cork
.
gravel chips or small stones
.
horticulture charcoal, about ½ for a small container
.
potting soil
.
slow-growing plants, freshly removed from the soil

water in a spray bottle
decorative items like rocks, shells, marbles and figurines
.
scissors
chopsticks if the mouth of the glass container is small.
Under the scorching summer sun even your plants feel the heat so much that they will with and loose their charm. Its then time to shift the garden indoors with terrarium-an enclosed container in which plants are kept. A terrarium is great if youre going on a holiday: it can go without water for weeks as it develops a climate of its own within the glass walls.

Step - 1
Place a 1 layer of stones or gravel chips at the bottom of the clean, dry glass container. Break and spread the horticulture charcoal, followed by 1 or 2 soil.
Step - 2
Using chopsticks or hands, make holes in the soil for the plant roots.
Step - 3
Put the roots into the holes and cover them by gently patting down the surrounding soil. Taller plants should be at the back.
Step - 4
Spray water sparingly, it should be just enough to dampen the soil.
